Eight of my books on Amazon.com and .99 cents each!

I finally have all eight of my books for sale on Amazon.com and each are just .99 cents. For some reason this site won't let me post an active link! I'm working on several books as well, one is a romance that takes place in Colonial Williamsburg :) and the other is a novel called (working title) Canning Tomatoes. It is a novel about friends, life, changes and of course, canning! I'm also working on a chick lit book that takes place in the south, for my Southun readers!

My oldest son edits each of my books.

What I really need is a cabin somewhere, a good laptop or my Ipad/keyboard and a stock of Bogle wine. I could write for weeks.

Spring...it's trying to strangle me

I mowed the grass today, first time this year. Okay, there isn't any grass, just onion grass really. Phew, the air stinks of onion grass and pollen. I think the pollen is trying to kill me. Maybe I'll go threaten the pear trees with an axe. Just swinging it around them might make them see things my way. ...ahhhh choooo!...

Yesterday was a GREAT day!

Hubby took niece to work so I got to sleep in. That's always a good way to start a day!! Then we had a very productive school day and I made my homemade chicken noodle for dinner. That is a huge hit around here. THEN we picked up a Freecycle..a woman gave us a Dungeons & Dragons basic set!! FREE! My oldest is very excited, now we just need to find players. To top it off, The Middle had back to back episodes and they were my two faves..so I was pretty darn happy :D

Today the boys are watching a DVD set "Ancients Behaving Badly" which I highly recommend. Today it's Hannibal and they are silent in there, very interested. So far we agree that Calligula (sp?) was the most interesting.

As for my books, I'm back to averaging 2 a day. Whispers Of Angels is doing really well and I'm wondering if I advertised it on a specific board that brought up its sales? Drat. I have no idea where that might have been :(

I'm going to edit..really, I will...

My plan is to edit today. But wow, it sure is pretty outside! Also, I have The Social Network from the library, I'd sure like to watch that before it's due. And I really need to clean out my closets.

And so it goes.

I'm worse than the kids! It's Christmas Eve eve!!

I woke up to the sound of my hubby getting ready for work. With my insomnia, no way I was getting back to sleep, but I ususally just enjoy the quiet for an hour or so. Today I bounced out of bed, wooohoo! Two more days and a wake-up until Christmas! I can't wait. I look forward to not just the looks on the kids' faces and them getting some of the things they wanted, but also the less physical stuff. I look forward to the blend of scents, the morning coffee and the soon-roasting turkey. I love the sounds of the parade on in one room and Christmas music playing in the kitchen. The anticipation is glorious, but it's also making me so impatient!

I have not decided if today should be math, science, history and grammar, just to be sure they love vacation all the more. Or should it be math, history and then VACATION!! Watch Christmas movies!! Haha!

Merry Christmas. I just can't wait.

Finally everything is bought and wrapped. I think im more excited about Christmas than the kids are. To tell the truth though, Im tired of Christmas music so lets get it on already!!

I sent out twenty query letters for Whispers of Angels last week and got seven rejections within three minutes of emailing the publishers. Do they really still publish hard copies??? Sigh Soooooo I lowered my price and now all three published on amazon.com are 99 cents each and doing ratherbwell for an unknown ;)

Sick and tired! Oh, and missing PA

Well, I caught my son's cold. Funny how I'm sicker, longer, but better me than him. When I cough, it feels like my lungs are going to be torn out and come firing through my ears, which I take for a sign of healing? Got to be.

I've been missing Pennsylvania, State College actually. I don't miss the weather and wouldn't want my kids to deal with those driving issues, but I miss the people. I miss living somewhere I could WALK to anything I wanted to do. I lived a block from a grocery store and a pizza parlor growing up. That was great. A longer walk and I was 'in town' and could hang out, go to the arcade (dating myself here) a movie or ohmygosh, get a Penn State Diner sticky! I miss those a lot, too.

I especially miss our cabin. My grandparents had a cabin in Huntingdon and I can't seem to get it out of my mind lately. Thanks to really slacker parents, even as a pre-teen I could climb into our row boat and be gone all day. I'd fish, explore or swim, it was great. It was a like a storybook childhood, at least when we were there. I so dream of being able to offer that to my kids, but my oldest is 14 and I only ever get one number right on lottery tickets, so unless God intervenes, it's all just a dream.

I watched quite a bit of Netflix this weekend while I coughed and whined on the recliner. I think my favorite was watching A River Runs Through It with my oldest. I guess it's probably due to the cabin dreams, but we really enjoyed it. I think it made him long for that kind of nature and freedom as well. I so wish I could give that kind of life to my kids.

I also watched a few documentaries, my favorite this weekend was I hope the link works! It was All In This Tea. I love tea, so this made me think I'm getting ripped off even with the Republic Of Tea and Stash Tea I drink!!

Welp, off to look up Silk Road teas. Have a lovely.
